My name is Kirk Ricks, I am a Sci-fi Fanatic, I love Star Wars, of course it drives my wife crazy, I am also member of the 501st Legion.  I only have my father to blame of course, he took me to see the original movies in the theaters when I was very young & it was at that point when I really began to obsess over Star Wars.  Yep thats me and chewie to your left there :)

I was born on May 17, 1970 in Murray, Utah, we moved a few times within the Granger/West Valley Area, I wasn't exactly a model child we moved around a bit in the late 80's early 90's I ended up going to ITT Technical Institute and getting my associates degree in Computer Aided Drafting,

During that time I had married and had two beautiful children Collin & Felecia Ricks , I have since divorced my ex-wife, and unfortunately a side effect of that situation resulted in some behavior that I am not particularly proud of, within that period of time my Ex-wife had left the state (without my knowledge) and took the children with her, I haven't seen them since, there is a large hole in my heart for them, I just feel that is a very unfair situation that even though I am required by law to pay child support, she is not required to let me see them.

Anyhow, after I was divorced I dated for a couple of years, being engaged a couple of times, but never quite made it to the alter, but finally in April of 1997 I met my wife Camie on a dateline, I never imagined I would meet someone like her on a dateline, but I did, She had one child from a previous marriage, Chelsea,

She is a great kid I love her as if she were my own. I remember the first time she called me Daddy, my heart just filled with so much joy & happiness, I just hope I can be the best father to her I can, I love her just like she was one of my own. 

In March of 98' we married, it was a wonderful time for me, It was a new beginning for me.  In July of 1998 Justine was born, this again was a milestone in my life, it was at that time that I realized I needed to be closer to God, so not long after that we started going back to church, this really helped me allot in my life, the lord really has blessed us since we came back to church, then in March of 1999, after allot of hard work we were able to go to the temple & receive our endowments. 

We married in the temple, then in July of 1999 we were all sealed as a family at the Jordan River Temple, we are so blessed to have these temples all around us.
